Ahead of the film's August 22, 2025, release date, the upcoming original anime film AS ONE has received a new trailer. Based on Square Enix and Sunrise's collaborative arcade title Starwing Paradox, AS ONE utilizes a completely original story from director Kobun Shizuno and sees several of the original game's staff returning to work on it, including character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto.

The latest trailer highlights RUKI of Japanese boy band JO1's theme song for the film, "Meguriboshi," while giving us a further look at several characters, including You, voiced by RUKI, Rako, voiced by Haruka Shiraishi, and several more listed below:

Alongside the all-new trailer, the upcoming film also received a new key visual ahead of AS ONE releasing in theaters on August 22, 2025.

Originally released in 2018, Starwing Paradox was jointly developed by Byking and Square Enix, with the latter publishing the arcade title. The title was heavily anticipated, with Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, one of the founding members of Gainax and character designer for Neon Genesis Evangelion, handling character designs, with in-game animation handled by Sunrise. Despite the initial excitement, however, the game lost its footing when Square Enix shut down the servers for the title in 2021, limiting it to offline-only functionality.
