Earlier today, Japan-based licensed apparel brand messa store announced an all-new Serial Experiments Lain collection for the series' 27th anniversary. The collection includes a total of five new shirts featuring new and unique takes on series protagonist Lain as illustrated by character designer Yoshitoshi ABe. Alongside the new collection, messa store also announced that they will be restocking several fan-favorite pieces from previous collaborations.

For those familiar with messa store, this all-new collection drop shouldn't come as a surprise – originally collaborating with Serial Experiments Lain in 2019, their continued collaborations have been among the brand's most popular. Originally launched as a limited-time event calling on a wide variety of artists to share their take on Lain, following a collaboration with Serial Experiments Lain soundtrack producer-turned-character WASEI "JJ" CHIKADA, we've since seen several drops from the brand featuring the cult-classic series.
Those wanting to check out these pieces in person, messa store's collections are regularly made available at Chaos Market on the basement floor of Nakano Broadway.
For those interested in checking out further information on the collaborative drop, be sure to check out messa store's official website. For those interested in picking up pieces from outside of Japan, messa also offers an international site.
