CLAMP announced today via their official social media that their xxxHOLiC・Rei manga would be returning to the pages of Weekly Young Magazine in the 21st issue of 2025 on April 21. The series has been on hiatus for 8 years, with its last chapter being published in issue 17 of 2017. In 2022 it was announced the series was set to make a return a year later, but that didn't come to pass.

The original xxxHOLiC began serialization in 2003 in the pages of Weekly Young Magazine issue 13 of that year. It ran until 2010 until it made the jump to the monthly Bessatsu Shonen Magazine where it concluded in 2011. The second series, xxxHOLiC・Rei, started in 2013 once again in the pages of Weekly Shonen Magazine where it will continue publication.

Here's hoping it remains consistent through it's conclusion, it's always rough when a fan favorite manga goes on a sudden indefinite hiatus.
