Four years since the announcement of indefinite hiatus, and the tragic announcement that band-member HSU had passed away, Suchmos have officially returned with an all-new EP titled "Sunburst". Released earlier today, July 2, 2025, the release of the four-track EP culminates with the upcoming launch of the band's "Suchmos Asia Tour Sunburst 2025" tour.

Split across an 18-minute runtime, "Sunburst" is a full return to form for Suchmos, evolving their soul-infused sound with a sonic palette updated to match their new surroundings. Releasing on the night of the EP's release, we can expect to see how this translates to music video format, with the lead track "Eye to Eye" getting the full treatment.

With a tour that's scheduled to see them jetting around Japan before darting to Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and back, it's going to be a jam-packed remainder of 2025 for Suchmos. With that being said, if this first EP since returning is a sign of things to come, fans both old and new have a lot to look forward to.

For those interested in checking out additional information on the release, as well as the upcoming Suchmos Asia Tour Sunburst 2025 tour, be sure to check out Suchmos' official website.
