Hit webcomic-turned-everything franchise Chiikawa continues its nationwide domination with the announcement of an all-new "Chiikawa Park" which is set to open in Ikebukuro Sunshine City Annex on July 28, 2025.

While Chiikawa has continued to dominate the social conscience of Japan since the series launched on Twitter in 2020, the launch of Chiikawa Park marks a milestone for the franchise. Joining heavy-hitter pop cultural icons like Pokémon, Shonen Jump, Ghibli, and more, the inclusion of the "experiential facility" at Sunshine City in Ikebukuro is fitting.

While details on what will be available at Chiikawa Park when it opens in late-July remain slim, we do know that the multi-floor facility will contain both an exhibition area, as well as a game corner and a merchandise area. In addition, the merchandise area will also be selling limited-edition items only available at Chiikawa Park.

Given the franchise's popularity, Chiikawa Park will be handling entry to the park with a lottery system which begins accepting applications from June 16 - June 23, 2025. During the lottery period, entries will be limited to one-per-person, with up to four tickets available for purchase if won. Those who do win will be able to choose a date between July 28 - August 31, 2025, for entry.

Tickets will cost 3,500 yen for adults (12 years and older), and for 1,800 yen for children (4-11 years old). For those interested in checking out additional information, be sure to check out Chiikawa Park's official website.
