Originally announced earlier this year at the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURES event in Japan, BANDAI SPIRITS has released a promotional video that gives a more detailed look at the PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED vGundam kit that's coming in January 2026. The PERFECT GRADE line of kits are historically known for their detail and higher scale, but the line saw a significant upgrade back in 2020 with the first PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED kit, the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam.

Much like the previous UNLEASHED kit, this new kit is another fan-favorite mobile suit originally piloted by Amuro Ray in the Char's Counterattack animated film. The new kit features a great deal of upgrades to the inner frame of the kit and just based on this short look already appears to be a beast of a build. Priced at ¥66,000 it's not going to be a cheap build either.

The PERFECT GRADE UNLEASHED line are the ultimate Gunpla kits, and as such this one is sure to draw considerable demand upon release. Hopefully this one won't be as difficult to obtain as the RX-78-2 has been over the past several years, but with the secondary market still eating up availability and jacking the price of new kits across Japan this is definitely a kit you're probably going to want to secure a pre-order for as soon as you can.
