THUNDER 3 volume 8 cover

Hitting store shelves in Japan today is the 8th volume of the utterly excellent THUNDER 3 by Yuki Ikeda. This volume sees the story really ramping up as the THUNDER 3 and the rebellion make their move against the invaders. We won't say too much more about the plot so you can enjoy it for yourself.

THUNDER 3 is the story of Pyontarou and his friends Hiroshi and Tsubame who are searching for Pyontarou's little sister Futaba after the four of them end up in an alternate dimension where aliens have contacted Earth. It's a wild ride and became an instant hit upon its release in 2022, already selling over 500,000 copies of the 7 existing volumes in print. Thunder 3 is published by Kodansha and new chapters appear in Monthly Shonen Magazine.

The series has already been adapted into French for some time now, with an English version only recently being released via Kodansha USA. It'll take some time for this volume to make its way out of Japan, but as soon as you're able to read it we definitely suggest checking it out.
