Nintendo officially announced the end of new content updates for Splatoon 3 today after it's massive in-game Grand Festival event wrapped up. The massive music festival themed event marked the final major Splatfest for the game and really pulled out all of the stops for the fan-favorite title. Despite the end of new content updates it has been announced that the annual Splatoween, Frosty Fest, Spring Fest, and Summer Nights events will all still occur along with reviving past events and additional Big Runs so players still have a reason to regularly log on.

2 years of new content updates were promised when the game launched, so this is just the natural conclusion. They have stated that weapon adjustments and game fixes may still be added in the future.
