Bandai has had some pretty unexpected collaborations in its line of plastic model kits throughout the years, but a new one announced today might be one of the most out of left field. Going up for pre-order via their Premium Bandai site later this week is a new kit based on the Nike Air Jordan 1 High 85 in its Shadow and Reverse Shadow color.
The promo pictures show that it’s not a very complicated looking kit, but it should appeal to sneakerheads regardless.

This new kit is not the first time the brands have teamed up either, with Nike dropping 2 different designs of their SB Dunk high sneakers based on the Unicorn Gundam a few years back, with Bandai releasing a pair of lightly themed Gunpla kits alongside them. This new kit elicits thoughts akin to their previously released Cup Noodles kit rather than something typical like a Gunpla collab. It’s a little strange, but at the same time, that out of the box approach makes it more interesting.
The kit will run buyers ¥11,000 and goes on sale at 11:00 (JST) on 31, July 2025 via Premium Bandai.
