Kazuya Konomoto has started his first serialized manga in 8 years, titled KAMI KILL in the pages of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine today. Billed as a story of humanity, humor, and mystery, the story follows 2 brothers who run a barbershop together while waiting for their missing father to return.

Konomoto's last manga, Setoutsumi ran for 4 years in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, and in the time since its ending he was the screenwriter for popular original anime ODD TAXI as well as its full-length animated movie. Art is being handled by relative newcomer Ryou Yamasaki who's last work, an adaptation of the movie Six Singing Women, was published on Young Jump's web manga platform Tonari no Young Jump in 2023.

The first chapter is currently available to read free on the Weekly Young Jump+ website, and is available in print in Weekly Young Jump 2025 issue 38.
