Narumiya's range of characters are having something of a huge comeback moment lately with the 2000s era fashion mascots popping up all over the place in the past year. The latest of these surprise happenings is coming from BANDAI in the form of 4 specially designed Tamagotchi Connection units featuring the cute and colorful characters.

Fans of 2000s era Japanese street fashion are no doubt going to be familiar with the characters in question as Angel Blue, Daisy Lovers, Mezzo Piano, and Pomponette were staples of the time. Tamagotchi was also making huge waves in the same general era, so this collaboration seems like a no brainer with that in mind. We are a bit disappointed to see that it doesn't look like the characters were incorporated into the games themselves this time around, but it's to be expected given the communication functionality that the Connection models are built around. Existing units would likely not be compatible with new, custom software.

In addition to the release of these new Tamagotchi connection models, a special pop-up shop will be opening on February 1, 2025 inside of Lumine Est Shinjuku. Advance sales of these special edition Tamagotchi Connect will be available on site, along with special goods exclusive to the pop-up.

The new Tamagotchi units are being released on February 22, 2025 with pre-orders opening on February 3. Each one will run ¥5,280 (tax included).
