Fans know that this year has been a busy one for iconic hip-hop/dance music trio m-flo as they've been celebrating the 25th anniversary of their major label debut. Touring, loads of new music, and other surprises from the group have packed 2025 all culminating in the announcement of their 10th full-length album to be released just days before their 26th anniversary on 18, February 2026.
The new album, titled Superliminal, will feature the singles they've released over the past couple of years as well as unreleased demos. The announcement of the album lists "and more" under the tracklisting, with more details to be revealed at a later time. What we do know is that the album will be available in a variety of configurations for its physical release including a massive ¥20,000 limited edition which will include a bonus DJ mix from member ☆Taku Takahashi, a Blu-ray or DVD with music videos, an additional video disc with their full “Kyo” 20th anniversary live concert, and special goods.

In addition to the album release, they've also announced their first solo live concert in 6 years to occur the following day on 19 February 2026 at Tokyo Garden Stage. Pre-order tickets will be made available by lottery to fans who pre-order the physical CD album via mu-mo.
Following this album's release the trio will enter what they're calling a “liminal” period where they will refrain from creative and live activities to focus on the ideation and planning for their next project. The band released a statement alongside this announcement:
This year, as we reached the major milestone of our 25th anniversary, we experienced countless “miraculous moments.”
We performed at festivals and events in Japan and abroad, and were able to reconnect with people around the world through music once again.
Being able to give our all throughout this 25th anniversary YEAR was thanks to our fans who supported us no matter what, and to the staff and friends who continued walking with us. After running through such an incredible year, m-flo will mark our one-man live at Tokyo Garden Theater on February 19, 2026 as a turning point, and step into a “liminal period” to evolve even further.
We hope to find new sounds, new encounters, and new inspiration as we move toward our next stage. We look forward to the day when we can meet again in a new form, carrying in our hearts the sounds and words we've woven over the past 25 years, and all the time you've given us.
To everyone who has walked with us up to now, we offer our heartfelt gratitude.
m-flo
This isn't the first time that the group has taken a break to develop their next creative endeavor, so we're excited to see what it will lead to. In the meantime we'll be eagerly awaiting the new album's release!
