Today at the MOTHER's BAZAAAAR!! area of HOBONICHI's Joys of Life Exhibition 2025 the company announced an upcoming collaboration with Japanese eyewear company JINS. The collaboration, which is focused on MOTHER 2/Earthbound character Jeff, includes 2 different pairs of glasses which will go up for sale at the end of February 2025.

The glasses come in a pixelated style to mimic Jeff's glasses in the game, or in a real world interpretation which will be outfitted with special blue-blocking lenses. Each pair comes with a unique case and cleaning cloth as well. The glasses will be made to order, and will be made available for purchase on both the HOBONICHI web shop and JINS online store in Japan. No word on the price or what the process to get prescription lenses will be yet.

The glasses were initial teased in a short mention on the MOTHER's BAZAAAAR!! website in a section calling out how Jeff was the only character who has yet to receive special merchandise.

The HOBONICHI "Joys of Life Exhibition 2025" is a yearly event held by Shigesato Itoi's HOBONICHI lifestyle company that curates Japanese goods & clothing makers who are creating high-quality and interesting goods for everyday life. MOTHER has had a special pop-up at each of these events, and this year's event is no different with it also serving as the initial drop of the brand's Mr. Saturn themed collaboration with Converse.

MOTHER's BAZAAAAR!!/HOBONICHI Joys of Live Exhibition 2025 will be running through January 15th as the Sumitomo Mitsui Building's Triangle Square in Shinjuku. Entrance is free, but advanced registration may be required on busy days. You can find more information on the MOTHER's BAZAAAAR!! website.
