Good Smile Company opened pre-orders today for the next batch of Evangelion kits in their MODEROID line of plastic models. Unit-02 and Mark.6 will join the previously released Unit-02 in what we hope will be an ongoing collaboration. MODEROID has has an excellent track record over the past several years of making kits of beloved mecha and vehicles from popular anime and manga, and we would love to see them complete a run of kits from khara's iconic franchise.

The Evangelion kits MODEROID has released so far have all been from the Rebuild of Evangelion movies. Given how many kits the company has released for other franchises such as PATLABOR, it would be awesome if they eventually branch out and do some kits for different Angels or variants like Unit-02's beast form at some point. BANDAI made smaller kits for each of the Angels years ago, and a few HG sized kits as well, but the sculpts were simple and plastic model technology has advanced so much since then. With any luck, these next two will perform well and we'll get to see more from the range in the future.

Each of the kits are MSRP ¥3,900 and can be pre-ordered now directly from Good Smile Company. Pre-orders are open until March 26, 2025 and the kits are scheduled to ship in October 2025.
