The gallery will feature over 600 materials about the creation of Ghost in the Shell, including never-before-seen materials created throughout the series' 37-year lifespan, as well as interactive and experiential exhibits, and installation exhibits created in collaboration with contemporary artists and creators influenced by the series. Tickets for the gallery will begin to sell in the fall of 2025.
In addition to the announcement of the upcoming GHOST AND THE SHELL exhibition, we also received word about Science SARU's upcoming anime adaptation.
Ahead of its 2026 broadcast, Science SARU's upcoming THE GHOST IN THE SHELL anime series received an all-new title logo design courtesy of Japanese designer and illustrator Hajime Sorayama. Perhaps best known for his chromed-out depictions of female cyborgs, he's also playfully the original designer of Sony's much-loved AIBO robot dog.
Alongside the reveal of this logo, Science SARU also shared an all-new teaser for the series, featuring the new logo front and center.

While the original Japanese logo for the series marks it as unmistakably a Ghost in the Shell project, with a few new flares added, it's the all-new English logo that truly reflects Hajime Sorayama's direction. In regard to the new logo, Hajime Sorayama had the following to say:
With the new Ghost in the Shell animation staying true to the original work, I designed the logo as a personal tribute to Masamune Shiro–filled with my respect and admiration. While staying true to the core concept of Ghost in the Shell, I also brought in my own aesthetic sense of style. I think this shows how even a familiar logo can be reimagined and brought to life in a new way with the right concept and ideas.
