Ever since its announcement, fans have been waiting for a further look at the live-action Ryu ga Gotoku/Yakuza TV series and the time is finally here. While this isn't the first live-action adaptation of the beloved video game franchise, it has a much bigger magnifying glass on it due to the franchise's success largely occurring after the last adaptation happened. This new adaptation is adapted from a screenplay based on the first title in the franchise, and follows Kazuma Kiryu as he's drawn into a conspiracy involving his best friend.

Like a Dragon: Yakuza (titled Ryu Ga Gotoku -Beyond the Game- in Japan) begins airing on Amazon Prime starting October 24, 2024 but in the meantime this extended trailer should hold you over.
