beatmania IIDX 33 "Sparkle Shower" began location testing today at Kawasaki Dice. The location is where Konami has previously undertaken its location tests for the latest games in the IIDX series. The 26th anniversary release sports a refreshing visual style, just in time for the Summer heatwave that's already starting to hit Japan.
The location test will run this weekend, from June 20 until June 22, 2025. Currently, no news has been released regarding the full release, though fans can typically expect a November release.
The release continues beatmania IIDX's typical genre output of high-energy electronic music, with Sparkle Shower additionally seeing another major pop song cover, this time in the form of Cutie Street's "Kawaii Dake ja Dame Desu ka?".
